Both of the FLIR thermal imaging cameras offered by Matrix are durable, affordable, and easy-to-use. The FLIR i7 is a point-and-shoot infrared-only camera that is light-weight and great for using out in the barn. The new FLIR i7, released February 2012, has a sleeker design, increased durability, and improved resolution and field of view from the original version. The FLIR i7 has fewer features than the FLIR E30 but is more economical, lighter weight, and smaller than the FLIR E30.

The FLIR E30 has more features than the i-Series cameras, including a touch screen, manual focus, and more measurement tools options. Additionally, the FLIR E30 has a built-in digital camera to simultaneously take a regular digital picture to accompany the infrared image.

The FLIR i5 follows the same design and functionality as the i7, just with decreased field of view and image resolution.
