Qi Gong Massagers: New Handheld Units

Introduced in Fall 2012 by Matrix Therapy Products

Equitonic 9: Treating Saddle Soreness

Baby Qi Massager: Relieving Poll Stiffness

Combining devices for a fast-acting, expanded treatment area.
The new Qi Gong Infrasound Massagers are what Matrix has been waiting for - the fast-acting benefits of infrasound with the freedom and ease of treatment that handheld devices allow. Matrix has been hoping to offer battery-powered, handheld Qi machines for quite some time, and it is now possible with the Baby Qi Massager (Mobile Medic) and Equitonic 9 infrasound massagers. Battery technology has improved enough to enable Qi Infrasound Massager to have cordless portability, smaller size, and lighter weight for easy handheld treatments.

Additionally, unlike the older Qi Gong massagers, the new models have a long battery life and can be used continuously for any duration desired. The smaller Baby Qi Massager's battery lasts up to 40 hours and the Equitonic 9, which has more expanded features, can last 50 hours before needing to be charged. These two new models by Sound Vitality offer the option of a small, convenient economy version (Baby Qi) or one that - while still small and handheld - has all the traditional features of a Qi Gong. Unique to the Equitonic 9 is an offering of a wider range of sweep frequencies compared to all other types of models. This device has the same features as the old style Qi Gong with settings of high, medium, and low (labeled as Pre-Race, Acute, and Restful) as well as timer selection options. The “hockey puck” style Baby Qi Massager fits easily in your hand and has just a simple on/off switch, and has a fixed medium setting.

About Infrasound Therapy
The normal range of human hearing is from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz and the Qi Gong therapeutic massagers operate in the 8-14 Hz range. Frequencies below 20 Hz are infrasonic, while those above 20,000 Hz are ultrasonic. Sound waves are an excellent carrier of frequencies and are able to penetrate deep into the tissue, which improves blood circulation while relaxing tissue spasms. Users say that in some cases temporary relief will last for days, and that the overall condition often improves to the point of restored health.

Infrasound therapy has a dramatic effect on reducing fresh swellings, hematomas, or edemas. Usually swelling on any part of the body can be reduced with just 2 to 3 treatments of around 10 to 15 minutes. Infrasound therapy is also great for relaxing tight muscles and it provides soothing pain relief, ideal for sore withers and shoulders. If an area is too sore for direct contact, the infrasound massager can be held several inches away and still provide fast-acting benefits.

Additional health benefits include:

  • Release endorphins necessary to reduce pain
  • Relieve muscle spasms
  • Provides fast pain relief
  • Increases blood circulation
  • Improves tissue quality
  • Releases natural cortisone to reduce swelling
  • Resolve injuries more readily by removing toxins and increasing blood supply

Applications include:

  • Reducing Swelling and Inflammation: Hematomas, Edemas, and more
  • Hoof Issues: Pain, Abscesses
  • Relieving General Soreness
  • Arthritic Joints
  • Fresh Injuries, especially that are too sensitive for contact
  • Safe to combine with other therapies, such as microcurrent and light
