Deborah Powell’s passion for saving animals and the do-it-yourself element of at-home care inspired her to explore ways to fix animals in the most natural way possible. Following this path as a hobby to optimize the comfort and longevity of older animals led to a full time career sharing a variety of therapies and the applications for using them. Deborah is the author of MicroCurrent for Horses, MicroCurrent for Dogs, and countless articles on the topic. She is also president of Matrix Therapy Products Corp.

Since the original publication of this article, there have been updates in technology and units. Avazzia, Inc. developed the Best-Vet (and other units) that are advanced biofeedback microcurrent units. These units have been modified for equine (and other animal) use. The Avazzia Med-Best and other human units are not transferable to use on animals due to higher output levels that animals will not tolerate.
